Cover Does Not Start
If the Maleco Automatic Spa Cover does not start, follow the steps below in order.
Do not force the cover by hand. If the cover does not operate after completing these checks, contact Maleco Support.
Step 1 — Remote Control Check
Check the remote control first.

Press the UP or DOWN button on the remote control.

If the blue indicator light on the top of the remote control does not illuminate correctly, replace the remote control battery.

After replacing the battery, press the UP button and check whether the cover operates normally.

If the cover still does not start, continue to Step 2.
Step 2 — Reset Function
The reset function may help restore normal operation if the control system has temporarily stopped responding.
Reset Procedure:

Turn off the power supply to the Maleco Spa Cover.

Wait 10 seconds.
-
Turn the power supply back on.

If the cover is in the lowest position, turn the key switch to the LEFT or ush the down button on the remote control and hold it for 30 seconds.

If the cover is in a different position, turn the key switch to the LEFT or use the down button on the remote control and hold it until the cover lowers to its lowest position. Once it reaches the lowest position, continue holding the key switch to the LEFT or ush the down button on the remote control for another 10 seconds.

Press the UP button on the remote control, or use the key switch, and check the operation of the cover.

If the cover still does not start, continue to Step 3.
Step 3 — Electrical System Check

Check the power supply and electrical system.

Ensure the power cable is plugged in securely.

Check whether a fuse or circuit breaker has tripped in the house.

Check the green indicator light on the transformer box.

If the green light on the transformer box is on, repeat Step 2 — Reset Function.

If the cover still does not operate after completing these steps, discontinue use and contact Maleco Support.
Important Note
Troubleshooting should be limited to the steps listed above.
Do not open electrical components, modify wiring, force the cover, or attempt unauthorised repairs.
Any electrical, motor, transformer or control system issue must be inspected by a qualified professional or authorised Maleco technician.
Damage caused by forced operation, incorrect reset procedure, unauthorised repair or electrical modification is not covered under warranty.
