Why Maintenance Is Important

Regular maintenance helps ensure the safe, reliable and long-lasting operation of your Maleco Automatic Pool & Spa Cover.

Your cover is a powered moving system exposed to outdoor conditions, moisture, spa chemicals, temperature changes and regular use. Over time, dirt, debris, wear or incorrect adjustment may affect the performance of the system.

Simple routine care, combined with periodic professional inspection, will help keep the cover operating smoothly and may prevent costly damage.

Routine Owner Maintenance

• The owner should regularly check and maintain the cover as part of normal use.

• Recommended routine checks:

• Keep the cover surface clean.

• Remove leaves, dirt and debris from the cover.

• Keep guide rails, drainage areas and moving paths clear.

• Check that the cover opens and closes smoothly.

• Listen for unusual noise, vibration or resistance.

• Inspect the cover surface for visible damage.

• Ensure no objects are obstructing the cover movement.

• Maintain correct spa water chemistry.

• Ventilate the spa every 3–4 days.

If the cover does not move smoothly, stop operation immediately and contact Maleco Support.

Professional Periodic Inspection

To maintain safe and reliable operation, the Maleco Automatic Pool & Spa Cover should be inspected periodically by a qualified professional or authorised Maleco technician.

A professional inspection  include:

• Motor and drive system check

• Electrical connection check

• Control system and remote operation test

• Fastener and mounting inspection

• Alignment and movement check

• Guide rail and operating path inspection

• Safety function check

• General wear and condition assessment

We recommend a professional inspection at least once every 24-36 months, or more frequently in high-use, coastal, humid or harsh environments.

Do Not Attempt Unauthorised Repairs

For safety and warranty protection, do not attempt to dismantle, modify or repair the cover system yourself.

Unauthorised repairs or modifications may cause unsafe operation and may void the product warranty.

If any fault, abnormal movement, electrical issue or mechanical damage is noticed, discontinue use and contact Maleco Support.

• Clean the cover regularly.

• Keep moving areas free from debris.

• Ventilate the spa routinely.

• Maintain correct water chemistry.

• Do not force the cover if resistance is detected.

• Arrange professional inspection periodically.

• Use only approved parts and authorised service technicians.

Important Note

Failure to maintain the cover correctly, including failure to arrange periodic professional inspection where required, may result in premature wear, unsafe operation or damage to the system.

Damage caused by neglect, misuse, lack of maintenance, unauthorised repair or incorrect water chemistry is not covered under warranty.
